Authorities have arrested Tyler Robinson, 22, accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA. Investigators say Robinson had voiced opposition to Kirk’s conservative views and left traces in private messages and engraved bullets used in the attack.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed evidence linking Robinson to the rifle, clothing seen on surveillance footage, and remarks shared with his family. Robinson, a once-promising student, is believed to have acted alone.

Kirk’s killing, while speaking at a Utah campus event, has reignited concerns about the rise of political violence in a deeply polarized America. Former President Donald Trump announced that Kirk will be posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
